Sandstone Countertop Kit
Temperature and Humidity Requirements — System Set TimesFor best results, pour when your workspace is between 65–75°F with lower humidity. This gives you the full working time and lets the resin self-level properly.
- Ideal pour conditions: 65–75°F with lower humidity
- Going above 75°F or pouring in high humidity will speed up set time and shorten your working window substantially
- Never pour in direct sunlight — it will set up too fast to work with
- If you're in a hot climate: pour early in the morning, and consider cooling the resin in the fridge for up to 60 minutes before mixing to slow the set time
Our extended-working-time systems are our REZINITE (1:1 ratio) and White Platinum Extended Working Time (2:1 ratio). Our fast-set systems are our Clear Remodel Resin (2:1 ratio) and White Platinum (2:1 ratio).
Bring the warm, sun-bleached beauty of natural sandstone into your home without the cost of quarried stone. The Sandstone Countertop Kit recreates the soft sediment layering, gentle marbling, and warm neutral tones found in real sandstone formations — a finish that reads dark, deep, and soft rather than sharp or high-contrast.
This recipe uses a stack-stone sediment pouring technique rather than traditional veining, building up layers of white, brown, bronze, and black side by side so the colors settle and blend naturally, the way sediment does in real stone.
What's in the kit:
- Resin — choose your system:
- REZINITE Extended Working Time (1:1 ratio) — 2 Gallons (40 sq ft): gives you more time to pour, blend, and settle your sediment layers before it sets. Our recommended pick — great for newer users who want more breathing room, and for pros who want extra control on larger or more detailed pours.
- REZINITE Extended Working Time (1:1 ratio) — 0.5 Gallons (10 sq ft): ideal for smaller projects, sample boards, and first-time users wanting to test the system before committing to a full pour.
- Pro Fast Set (2:1 ratio) — 1.5 Gallons (32 sq ft): a fast-setting formula for efficient turnaround. This is our Pro Fast Set system — recommended for experienced/professional users only. Its shortened working window leaves little room to settle your sediment layers before it sets. If you're newer to resin, choose REZINITE above for a more forgiving working time.
- Brown Bonding Primer
- TrueTint True White
- TrueTint Dark Brown
- TrueTint True Black
- Bronze Forge Metallic Powder
New to resin or still building confidence with layering technique? Choose REZINITE — the extra working time gives you room to slow down, settle your sediment layers, and learn the process without racing the clock.
